bent con exhibiting artist bio: JEFF KRELL

Jeff Krell created the groundbreaking gay-centric humor strip “Jayson,” whose 1983 debut in the Philadelphia Gay News led to a two-decade run in Gay Comix and Meatmen. In 2005 two “Jayson” retrospectives (“Best of the 80s” and “Best of the 90s”) were so well received that Krell decided to launch a series of original graphic novels, starting with “Jayson Goes to Hollywood,” which garnered nominations in the Comics Buyer’s Guide Fan Awards for Favorite Writer and Favorite Graphic Novel. Krell also translates for famed gay German cartoonist Ralf König.
